Apple has begun development on its tenth generation of low-cost iPads, which will feature an A14 processor, a USB-C port and support 5G networks.
In earlier leaks, 9to5Mac revealed that Apple is developing a new iPad Air with an M1 processor and support connectivity to 5G networks, and this report has already been confirmed, and today the website clarifies details about the low-cost version of the iPad.
The source of the leaks confirms that the low-cost version of the iPad will soon come with the A14 Bionic processor and support connectivity to 5G networks, and this device will launch with a USB-C port for the first time.
On the other hand, the current iPad is the cheapest of Apple’s tablets, priced at US$329, and comes with a Lightning connector for charging in this version.
9to5Mac has made it clear that the tenth generation of iPads, model number J272, has been monitoring for leaks and has replaced the Lightning port with a USB-C port to support data transfer and charging with faster performance, and the device will contact more accessories more smoothly, with support for connecting to external monitors such as the Studio Screen.
The leaks also indicated that this version will include a Retina display, as with the iPad Air, and is expected to have a screen size of 10.5 inches or 10.9 inches.
