Hi,
I set my iPhone X to the factory settings with the mobile phone. There was a message that I had to do an update, but I ignored it because I thought I would do it later.
After it has been reset, the error message always comes up that it cannot be activated, I have a SIM card in it that works in my other iPhone! I also tried to install the iPhone X via iTunes using the recovery mode, iTunes first installed 5 GB of data but still the error message iPhone cannot be activated.
There is then only one button to switch off ... even wifi does not matter

What happened there - can it not be that I only have such a problem about resetting?

Hope you can help me..

There is 99% hardware damage here, namely the baseband chip is defective. Is a typical problem of the X, which just happens without any action.
The IMEI of the device is missing here and so it can no longer be assigned at Apple. If you press the "i" on the home screen, the IMEI is missing

That's right it occurred to me that I bought a new one because in the end I had no network and as you already said the imei was not available. I forgot about that. Would it want to repair it now supposedly costs between 150-200 €, the alternative would be a new one from aliexpress with Face ID costs 200 € (Face ID also didn't work in the end) is there any experience with aliexpress can I shop with peace of mind? Because there aren't really many offers on eBay ... 😐

@sergey

Very high customs duties and taxes have recently become payable. It's not worth it. You can get an X already used for 200-300 euros
